Frequently asked questions

What is Biothane, and why do you use it instead of nylon or leather?

Biothane is a premium-coated webbing that offers the strength of leather with none of the upkeep. It’s waterproof, odor-resistant, easy to clean, and designed to last through everyday wear and adventure.

How do I choose the correct size for my dog’s collar or leash?

Each product includes sizing information to ensure a precise fit. When in doubt send us an email and we can help. We recommend measuring your dog’s neck snugly with 1-2 fingers of room. We try to stay as close to standard collar and leash sizing as possible.

When will I get my order?

Pre-made items will ship within 3 business days. Other pieces are handcrafted to order. Please allow 1–3 weeks for production and finishing before shipping. We will email you if it is expected to be longer.

Are your collars and leashes waterproof and safe for everyday use?

Yes. Our products are built for daily wear, water exposure, and active lifestyles while maintaining a refined, polished look.

We use nickel-plated, stainless steel and brass hardware. With any nickel-plated hardware, the chrome finish will wear off over time and with use to expose the solid brass underneath the finish. With brass, the gold color won't chip or flake away with use. Please keep in mind that solid brass hardware naturally oxidizes as it ages. It can leave grey/green tarnish marks against the biothane, especially on the lighter colours. Martingale collars can also leave leave marks on fur, especially on white coloured dogs. These marks can be cleaned away and are non-toxic.

To remove tarnish marks from our products, we recommend using a magic eraser or a small amount of rubbing alcohol. Please ensure to thoroughly rinse your product with soap and water before using your gear again.

Do you offer custom sizing or special requests?

We do offer limited custom options. If you need something specific, please contact us before placing your order and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
